Honored to be Awarded the LMU GSN Munich Brain Course Award

Last week was an enriching journey at the Munich Brain Course 2024, invited by the Graduate School of Systemic Neurosciences - LMU Munich (GSN). Being selected as one of the four international students to receive the Munich Brain Course Award is truly humbling. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the GSN team for their exceptional hospitality throughout the event.

I am deeply grateful to Dr. Alexander Kaiser for his invaluable introductions to the programs and research centers at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the GSN administration team for organizing a comprehensive tour of the Biocenter LMU, which provided us with invaluable insights into the research community at LMU.

The highlight of my award was the opportunity to explore two distinguished research laboratories at the Faculty for Chemistry and Pharmacy LMU Munich and Helmholtz Munich. Witnessing groundbreaking research firsthand was an unforgettable experience, reinforcing my passion for science. Heartfelt thanks to Prof. Dr. Stylianos Michalakis and Prof. Dr. Ali Erturk for graciously inviting me to visit their lab.

The Munich Brain Course itself was an intense yet rewarding experience, featuring a diverse range of seminars and hands-on dissection sessions at the LMU Institute of Anatomy. Dissecting the brains of individuals affected by diseases, as well as those who died due to different causes, has provided profound insights into the complexities of the human brain.

I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to deepen my skills in neuroanatomy, forge connections with esteemed neurologists and graduate students, and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
